March definitely came in like a lion with some snow even! We've had a great start to the month. We finished up our Continent studies by learning about land & water forms (lake & island so far) as well as matching animals to the continents where they live. Check out some of our work, lessons & morning messages in the slideshow below:
After our continent studies, we have begun to learn about plants. We got to plant our own bean seeds (although I'm not holding my breath that they will actually grow!!!) as well as learn about the parts of the plant. Check out some of this week's lessons and morning messages:
We also had fun celebrating Read Me Week with all the fun special days and especially the Character Parade--it was great seeing all the kids enjoying and sharing their favorite literary characters! I've also been so touched by all the great work I've seen from the kids lately--lots of older students helping younger ones & children challenging themselves to do bigger things! It makes me proud! Check out the slideshow on the home page for more photos of our kids at work during work cycle.
Don't forget--Friday is a Planning Day for Teachers followed by 2 weeks off for Spring Break! I'll try to put up a post with ideas for kid-friendly activities to inspire you during the time away from school!
